For a long time, while working as Head of Marketing in an international company for sanitary ware and living in black forest, Germany, I was not missing anything. At some point I felt a longing to break out of my normal life , to develop personally, to get to know a different country and a foreign culture and to share a bit of what I had. In 2009 I took my first journey to Tanzania, where I consulted and coached a local project as a Volunteer Expert. Since 2015 I spend about 6 month of the year in Tanzania and call Kigamboni my second home.

After several assignments in large projects, I have finally started to support people in my close environment. Besides financing school visits, school material and health care, I also accompany young people in building up their own businesses.

My first time in Tanzania was in 2015, as a Volunteer Expert via “Manager für Menschen” and I was working there for 2 months in a big project where I was sharing my knowledge. The country itself as well as the people really fascinated me, which led to the decision to extend my stay to another year.

In 2016 I have spent a lot of time at the Masai village in Changalikwa. Experiencing life there is again a completely different thing from everything else. Very isolated in the bushes, without access to water, power or any medical care, but with so much warmth and helpfulness, the Masai try to cope with their daily life. I started with private donations of dear friends, to help to provide food and much needed medical treatment. Especially those kinds of issues become enlarged within our NGO. Our goal is to support the Masai to improve the quality of life without changing their culture and impressive way of living.
